Uh-oh. Hopefully Corey didn't actually need the book to get to the oracle. Although not being able to get there would be one way to lose the dude following him.
Technically, Corey needs the information in the book...ellakiteJune 11 2014, 11:24:22 UTC
... but he is able to pick up another copy before arriving at Grunswold.
As for losing his stalker -- Well, Corey has a good head start, but since the stalker knows *EXACTLY* where Corey is going, it's only a matter of time before the stalker will catch up...

Hmm, if he took long enough to find another copy, the guy might show up, think he'd missed Corey, and go away again. (This was what I meant by losing the follower. Although I assume you've actually probably got that part planned out already.)
It doesn't take very long for Corey to find another copy of the book... and Corey isn't aware that his pursuer knows where he's going -- Corey teleported away before the shadow found the book, remember?
And if/when I continue this tale, you'll see that there are complications when Corey reaches Grunswold, so he ends up spending far more time there than he originally expected...

So you want to know what happens next? Well, I'll tell you:
* Rock climbing
* Spring turning to Autumn
* People concealing their true natures
And now that I've told you all that, there's no point in my continuing the story. After all, you know exactly what's going to happen now...

As always, well written, compelling, and I am left wanting more.
