"All of the true things that I am about to tell you are shameless lies."

Bokonon

Please allow me to introduce myself; I'm a man of stealth and haste.
A semi-cousin* of mine has described me as "An International Man of Mystery", which is a rather apt description. Except, of course, that I'm not a particularly experienced traveler, am a shameless extrovert in certain ways, and I HATE the Austin Powers movie series with a passion... but other than that, it's a very apt description indeed. But I suppose you'll want detailed particulars:

I'm a precision freak who lives in clutter and chaos; a hard-core rationalist afflicted by a family curse; a lateral thinker with a talent for problem-solving and a history of deliberately letting opportunities pass him by. I am a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science with a genius-level IQ and am quite successful in my chosen career, yet frequently feel like an idiot who has been "faking it" his whole life. I make a point of being civil and friendly to everyone I meet, but remain my own harshest critic... and in many ways, my own worst enemy.

To put it simply: Don't try to understand me and my life. I've spent over 40 years trying to make sense of who I am, and I still haven't a clue.  But if you hang around, we just might have some fun together.  Deal?

*To clarify: this individual claims that we are distant relatives, but the "relationship" can only be found by mapping their family tree to mine, and not vice versa. And before you ask: I don't understand it either, but considering all the other stuff that I've mentioned, it's probably true...
