This is the first episode of this series that I want to want again and again. I must admit I was scared to watch this one but it was better than I thought it would be.

somewhat coherent review this way.... )

character: arthur, tv show: merlin, character: morgana, friendship: merlin/arthur, episode: discussion/review, shipping: arthur/guinevere

If I am correct, Agravaine is Ingraine's brother.

9/10 ...why do I get the feeling you wouldn't rate a single Merlin ep lower than 8? mustbethursday3 November 1 2011, 15:42:29 UTC
I agree with most of your points, altho I think the 'balance' between the OT3 wasn't that balanced. Maybe if Merlin had spoken to Gwen before he went to war with Arthur? Or..maybe talked to her after and convinced her to take the pitcher of water/wine/juice to Arthur's chambers...or somesuch.

I want Arthur to make the right choices without Gwen or Merlin's help. Because he's supposed to know. He's been raised for this ONE job - and I really hope he paid attention to his lessons...tho I am doubting it. It's a good thing he's a good guy.

And it's gotten to the point where I wish CONSEQUENCES (which is what happens whenever Arthur or Merlin make a decision) would last longer than a single episode.

I loved Annis tho, she was mature and tough and reasonable - and I actually started imagining if Gwen was in that situation, how would SHE react to Arthur being executed for wandering into other people territory a little too often. (And Arthur does love a good wander)

lol honestly the reasons I gave it a 9 was the a/g kisses at the end and I just loved Annis..... ella_rose88 November 1 2011, 21:04:12 UTC

Well I was referring to A/M and A/G rather than all three of them. Of course I'm dying for some G/M scenes and wish that they would have had a little scene in this episode would have been great.

It's a good thing he's a good guy.I want him to do that too, however I do think that Arthur grew up with Uther has his father and that emotionally stunted him. So I do think that Gwen and Merlin have helped bring out Arthur's good nature, however at times his old self returns and I bloody hope that he starts paying attention to what he has ( ... )
