Every three nights or so, my neighbors somewhere start burning something and it always wakes me up! It's driving me batty. See, whatever they're burning smells just enough like a burning house to pull me out of a sound sleep and up in to half wakeful alarm. Once you've smelt a burning house, you don't forget the odor soon. Anyway, with ( Read more... )

I feel for you. I'm about ready to take a super mondo sized fire extinguisher over and spray the heck outta their house. And when they freak out, I'll look suitably half asleep and innocent and say...
"Oh! I'm so sorry, I thought your house was on fire."

*stands with feet apart, one hand on left hip and dances with pointer finger of the right hand jabbing from the left hip to the air above in time to the music* Ooooh yaaah! I grew up on this stuff. The Beatles too and all those types from our mother's hay days. ;)

I LOVE ABBA! But I didn't grow up listening to them. I just got into them in college after seeing Muriel's Wedding. I just got the collection after seeing Mamma Mia and have been jigging around to them for the past few weeks.

I'm sorry to hear about your interrupted sleep. Things like that are so insanity-inducing. Really, in the middle of the night like that, even when you're sure you know what it is... you just can't dismiss it, or go back to sleep until you've checked. And often by that time you're quite wide-awake. :P

Mmm, that time in Montana sounds wonderful, though. And awww, about your little cousin. Isn't it enough to just make you totally melt when they do something like that? :D

And I'm glad you're father was able to come visit you! That sounds like a great time. :)

Yah, exactly! Because I should check the whoooole house just in case it really is something this time. Wouldn't you just know it, the one time I actually sleep through the horrible smell, it turns out to be IN our house. I sure hope not.

Yes, I melt like a big goopy mess that used to be a semi adult human. ;) He's such a sweetie!

It was stupendous! We had a lot of fun just hangin' out together.
