I was at the year end formal for my faculty yesterday, and not 5 minutes after I got there I stumbled over someone's foot, and then someone else stepped on my foot, and it really hurt. The worst part was, I wasn't even drinking yet.

So I quickly get out of the way and look down to see how my foot is...

To tell you the truth, I'm kind of laughing at it. People kept coming to me all night saying, "honestly, this kind of thing would only happen to you."

I figure I'll be back at ballet next week, just not doing the jumps. I used to break my pinky toes all the time doing pointe, but those never hurt the way this one does! I used to just keep on dancing...
