Three years later, this is how DD2 celebrated 100th day of school in her first grade yesterday:

You have no idea how much mud I received from fellow parents (not from our school) when I shared that letter with them!

How did your school respond?

The teachers wrote back thanking for the letter and stating that it's too late to make any changes to that celebration. Btw, for today's V-day candy flashmob the kids were told to bring non-food items, or only specific candy (allergies are the stated reason). My kids took a stack of homemade cards :)
