Um, sorry. The other day my mom was freaking out because her brother lives in....somewhereotherthanwhereheusedtolive, New Hampshire, and he wasn't returning calls, and I went, "HEY! I have a friend who lives there."

So woot for aliveness and computer access.

(Her brother is fine, by the way, although my cousin got evacuated and is now back at home with some basement damage. Not that you particularly care, I just thought I should add that my uncle isn't floating around NH in a boat.)

Heh. I live in Manchester, which is, for once, being helped by being an old industrial city (the canals are helping). There's a lovely irony, tho, in the fact that we had to move a few weeks back because our old apartment was literally sold out from under us.

Fast forward, and our old apartment's in one of the few neighbourhoods that was being threatened with evacuation, and we're on a hill half a mile from the river and safe.

Good to hear about your uncle. And the heavens just opened again. I'm ready for this to be over...
