Because we don't have enough on our plate.....

Sooooo, we may be buying another house near us, in Comer. It's an amazing 2 story with a basement house that someone started and never finished. The bits that need to be finished are almost entirely cosmetic, so once we get appliances in there, it will be ready to be lived in, then we can work on the rooms one at a time ( Read more... )

Thanks! I hope you do, too. Whatever you're doing, besides coming over here. :D

I am sending a box on Friday for you guys. Some gifts that are NOT wrapped, so you can decide whether or not to open it when you get it, or wait until Yule. I think Carmen will enjoy the gifts (one for the bath, and one for learning). Love you much! Good luck with the house. Be careful!

Wow, that's lovely! The glass blocks on the staircase and balcony are a little unusual, and I'm not so sure about the pink bedroom, but hey, little girls are supposed to like pink. :) I wouldn't have thought to us the Sims that way, clever!

Pink bedroom? Yah, also not my favorite!! But, that's why the gods invented paint, right??

I'm not sure about the glass blocks, either, but I'm hoping that once we paint that room, it will look more good interesting and less bad interesting. I'm also wondering if there is a translucent paint that we can use on them.

Oh! There is! It's called Gallery Glass, and I used it on the sidelights in our front door. It's meant for small crafts, though, so it comes in little bottles. Also, though it's meant for painting on vertical surfaces, I found it a bit runny, so you can't apply it too thickly. But it does come like beautiful stained glass.

Oh, Sweeet! Thanks! I'll have to look into that, once we figure out what the "theme" of the room is going to be.

Thank you! Luckily, the morning sickness is mostly gone... I'm feeling well much more than I'm feeling poorly, which helps so much!!

Well, it looked to me like there was enough on your plate, but this does look like an interesting project. When I was small I would have really loved that strange bonus room as my room.

I have also used Sims 2 to show a real floor plan. It was great fun even though it is not perfect for real houses.

Yes! It worked well to show how the house is basically set up. It was good enough for me, especially since I don't have the exact dimensions. I just used it to do the house that we're in now (Honeywine Hollow) so that if we rent out this house, we'll have a nice something to show folks in online adverts.
