i am going to vancouver for the first time this saturday, and i am extremely excited! has anyone ever been there before? if so, do you have any tips? fun places to hang out? delicious eats? must see museums?

YUM. that place looks like a treat! i will put it on my ever growing list of restaurants i simply must try. i am going to eat my way through vancouver - hooray!

i plan to skytrain my butt all over the place. i heart public transit in other cities :)

I haven't been in 7 years, so grain o' salt and all, but the Chinese gardens and the very narrow building were both pretty cool. That said, they were in a kind of scummy part of town. Things might have changed.

i leave early saturday morning (have to be at the airport by 730, ack), and thursday is amyro's graduation, but perhaps if i finish packing and salivating over vancouver restaurant online menus, we could squeeze something in friday evening.

hi. you don't know me. my name's james. i'm extremely bored and djverablue lists you as a friend, so........... that how i found you. as far as your post, i visited vancouver about 5 years ago. back then, everywhere we went treated us like gold cuz we were throwing around american money. i bet that's not the case anymore but some of the finer points are:

shopping: robson st.
beautiful japanese garden: dr. sun yat-sen gardens (not to mention, it's in the heart of downtown. there's plenty to do around there.
food: thai house restaurant (also on robson st.)
(vancouver is notorious for thai food, so even if you can't find that place in particular, you can't lose.)

p.s. i love your layout. if you don't mind me asking, where'd you come across it?
