So the Sarah Slean album Orphan Music has been released :) It's fabulous! I went out yesterday to pick it up after work with Tashia (who mainly came along to see if I'd totally freak out when I saw my photos somewhere in the album art work lol.) I picked up my copy in HMV and was saddened to see it wasn't on the new release shelf... hello we're ( Read more... )

Hehe I didn't believe it until I saw it :) Warner said it was 2 in their contract but I still thought perhaps it was a typo lol. Jarita has two as well :) go TO Passioneers ;)

The tree almost looked like it was burning, and then the wind would change and it would look totally gold, very pretty last night :)

Thank you very much, there are some that are more fabulous ones from that same show in NYC. If you look at www.sarahslean.com and in the pictures section there are some taken by Patti and hers are some of my most favourite Slean shots ever :)

That's so awesome that your photos got in there and your name was printed in a Sarah Slean CD!!! I've had my name in the Thank-You's of a few CDs done locally (as well as The Duke, one of my favourite musicians), but to have your name in a Slean CD is just ridiculously cool.

The CD is also very enjoyable from a listening perspective. It'll take some time for this version of "Weight" to grow on me (my favourite version was the one she performed live on the Sympatico Juno series a few years back) but the instrumentation is phenomenal on the new studio stuff, and she really does shine on the live stuff!

I'm over the moon excited about seeing my name in the CD :) Being credited wasn't in my contract so I wasn't sure if they were going to credit or not and thus wasn't counting on it entirely, heck I wasn't sure it wasn't all a big mistake until I opened the album lol.
