Nomi and I went to go see the U of T production of Reefer Madness last night and it was SO fun! The show on stage is terrific, and even has some extra numbers which weren't in the movie so that was bonus. The casting was great. Really really great. Nomi was reading over everyone's bio's and for everyone but one cast member this was their first

Oh, wow that does sound fantastic. Interesting that you thought the girl playing Mary Lane was better than Kristen Bell. She was originally the only reason I sought out the movie, so I think I would have a jard time seeing someone else in that role. That being said, I bet it was absolutely brilliant live.

And if only I was had time to fly from New Zealand to see it, I would ;)

I was the same, I heard of the movie through VM fans so it was all about Kristen Bell when I watched it. Of course as soon as I saw who else was in it my attention was divided because that was a stellar cast :) The first little while of the show was odd to watch just because it's an entirely different cast but part of what I think made that work was that they went their own ways with the characters, they didn't emulate the movie :)
