For all of my dislike of the prequels and a lot of PT!Obi-Wan's characterisation, I do think Ewan MacGregor nailed Alec Guinness' expressions and mannerisms. I just wish he hadn't.
Why (do you wish he hadn't)? McGregor's acting always was one of the few saving graces of the prequels for me, next to... uhm. There must be something, I'm sure there were a few bits I actually liked.
Oh, I think his acting is good -- at least in AOTC and ROTS (I haven't watched TPM recently, and Obi-Wan is sort of forgettable there for me). The problem is that young Obi-Wan and old Obi-Wan are so similar that it makes his character seem static. In ESB, he says that he was restless, impatient etc etc as a young Jedi - there's great potential for an arc there, with the brash young Obi-Wan becoming the man we meet in ANH. Instead he's ... always the same, pretty much.

I had another comment, but then I got sucked into TV Tropes and forgot it.

LOL, I try to warn for those links, but I don't think I'd started doing it at this point.
