For those who are into that, anyway, I was fishing around my hard drive and found some snippets from the Perfectverse:

When Philadelphia Benedict declared that this year, they would have a Family Christmas, every member of the family hastened to e-mail, write, or phone her their immediate agreement.  ( Read more... )

Perfect Universe! I love how you decided to mix in Emma references! It certainly fits. (Of the other books, too, but those most of all as a curiosity... the Emma references really fit.)

I love the old woman, and I loved the Narcissa's internal dialogue about changing. When it's usually tackled in ff (that is, D's change) it never completely convinces me. They make it too much about E, and not so much about, well, him, changing because he rethought how he should be.

And your version of the Bennet family is both merciless and hilarious. :D

This is total win, as is the reinterpretation of Mr. Bennet (Elvis!) and Jack's call.

“Oh, we can share a room.”

“Kathy,” Delphie said disapprovingly, “your immoral lifestyle is hardly something to flaunt at Christmas, when you should be striving to live a more Christ-like life.”

Kathy snorted. “Do you want grandkids or not?”

And the matter was settled.

:D I thought you might enjoy it.

The whole Emma thing just happened - I didn't plan it all, it was just . . . Miss Bates pretty much just walked in and started blathering at Narcissa.

I've never really been interested in the fanfic versions of Darcy's change, because it's - well, exactly what you said. They make it about Elizabeth and - I mean, for Darcy it's about his parents and his upbringing and his principles and his behaviour in general. Elizabeth's tirade is what sets him to thinking about it - once he gets over being royally ticked, of course - but she's nothing more than a catalyst.

The Benedicts were fun! Crazy and messed-up but I think they have fun. Except Marianne. :)

Kitty's probably the one who underwent the most change here. But Elvis Ben was absolutely the most hilarious.

Thank you!
