Darcy is the best. There is literally nothing I do not love about him - even his douchery is weirdly endearing. (I had trouble narrowing down the awesome-yet-descriptive quotes for him, ha.)

I imprinted on him at age eleven and have never looked back.

Sounds like my 'relationship' with Harry Potter. Though "imprinted" makes it sound like the Twilight thing - creepy.

I think it happens quite a lot, really, though the specifics vary. One of my professors theorized that everybody has at least one book/character they glommed on to that way.

Fortunately, one can't groom fictional characters.
