And I definitely agree regarding dark Luke. I can also picture dark!Luke having his father (if Vader's there) as a twisted sort of Morality Chain -- he was, after all, willing to give up almost everything to save Vader from the Dark Side. So I can picture both him and Vader being pretty protective of one another. And Leia, if she also joined. I can imagine either one of their betrayals (if he lived) being devastating for him, and...while maybe not reaching levels as bad as Anakin's when he feels betrayed (I can't say, really), I can picture it would...hurt him, really. Re: Luke and Vader ... hm, honestly, I think simply loving another person would probably keep them more in check than otherwise, anyway (while also driving them to extremes, though). Where I can really see them acting as restraints on each other, though, is with not-dark-but-allied!Luke as a full-blown Morality Chain, fully aware of it, and terrified that any step off the straight and narrow will doom them both and the rest of the galaxy with them. (No pressure!) I honestly don't know how Luke would take betrayal - not well, I wouldn't think.
