Great update as always! :D

And *wow*, they actually said that about Luke? *Headdesks* Yes, because how dare he actually *grieve* the loss of his mentor? /sarcasm. And while I would, on second thought, want the films to go into a bit more detail in regards to Leia's grief over Alderaan...the example you cited is not how I'd state it. (And then again, we always have fanfiction)

On a lighter note, that picture of Han is *priceless*. Seriously. (And yeah, the Falcon graphics are dated. Still pretty damn good effects for the '70s, though. :)

Thank you! I enjoy it, anyway.

People say that about him all the time. And yeah, I'd definitely like to see more fallout over Alderaan, but "one moment of mourning" seems to be about all the twins spare for any loss, so at least it seems IC. That is one of the reasons I can't help but like Splinter, though.

Heeeh, I love Han in that scene. And his flawless trolling - he's going to fit into that family just fine.

Yeah, pretty much all the special effects in ANH are amazing for 1977! Some just stood up more than others. And some got updated more than others. :P

I'm just a random LJ person, but I drifted over to your journal a while back and ate up your SW writing and especially all the ANH rewatches--I'm so glad you're still continuing them. You in fact inspired me to spend part of my vacation last week watching the whole original trilogy for the first time in...ten years? more?...and just enjoying the hell out of it. Looking forward to more to read. Will try not to be obnoxious in comments...
Luke's "I care!" cracks me up--I don't think he knows what he's saying he cares about either, he's just expressing "See? I'm not Han!". I can see Leia kind of patting him on the head with "Sure you do, sweetie."

We're all random LJ people - you're welcome here, of course! I'm glad you've enjoyed my SW stuff so much. I saw your post and I was pretty thrilled (well, partly at being mentioned in the same sentence with irnan omggggggg but mostly just at YAY STAR WARS). I'm definitely glad that my ramblings got someone to watch my favourite movies again! <3

Yeah, I'm definitely leaning towards the 'but, but I'm not!' interpretation. And heeeh, I love the idea of Leia just being "I know, sweetie *pats*"
