I'd have zero interest in a story about them, but yeah, it's fun to have them along for the ride.
The whole Luke vs Han thing is ... yeah, it's all about the sparks and chemistry with Han, all about affinity and comfort with Luke. Which I imagine is why, while Han tends to initiate things with her, it's always Leia who does it with Luke -- he's safe. I think she wants it all, really. She definitely doesn't seem to see either relationship as precluding the other; she can go from declaring her love to Han to kissing Luke without the slightest cognitive dissonance. Which is kind of awesome

Well, I meant that the relationship is about comfort and comfortableness. Leia is definitely the one to do the active comforting; Luke seems to consistently bring out the side of her, as well as simply making her feel comfortable. Given the 24/7 tension that is her life, I can see why she'd value that, and why she clearly has no intention whatsoever of giving up her relationship with him.
(Going with canon, I think that's why their reaction to being siblings is less "OMFG WE MADE OUT" and more "YAY EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE NOW." It was always more about the things that they can still have as twins, anyway.)
