I really think that maybe running a spell check or checking google or looking at a screencap or poster so that you correctly spell the name of the badass covert operations headed by Nick Fury wouldn't be very hard, but since apparently it totally is, here is a handy mnemonic device to help you out ( Read more... )

Maybe it's a secret push by Fury in order to keep SHIELD under cover? Planted men and women, paid to spell it wrong. Feeding false information to the public is hardly uncommon.

It could be something he did after he was kicked out of SHIELD, but I think what he actually did there was called "Howling Commandos" and further more had a bunch of new young superteams lead by his son, so.

Also, Agent Hill was a Skrull for part of that.

I had edited that in and then removed it, as it wasn't hugely relevant and there are bunch of exceptions.

This is why, in my head, it is always "Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.A.F.T" -- Shit Happens All the Fucking Time.

It's certainly more descriptive of movie!Fury's day to day life.
