So I'm on the hunt for the next book in the series. I look for the usual GIANT DISPLAY. Nope. Fiction? Nope. Horror? Nope. Fantasy? Nope. Oh dear god...Romance

Um. Thought you knew this. The clues were there: ALL the main and secondary characters are teenagers, especially the undead ones. I felt like a depraved old letch looking at Jacob Black and thinking "OMG he's so freaking CUTE!"
I find it interesting that the lady who writes them is hardcore Mormon
They're apparently pretty popular with the hardcore Christian crowd because there's a strong abstinence theme - something about the girl wanting to become a vampire and vampire boy insisting he can't bite her until they're married or something like that.
I may be mangling this a bit because I haven't read them myself, just heard other people talking about them, but apparently they do have a big Christian readership.
Nope yer bang on, there's a pretty strong theme of virginity running throughout. Which, oddly enough, is kind of killing the whole thing for me now that I'm in book 3. Ha. Cuz if it ain't filled with filth apparently it can't hold my interest. Guess I'm not a teen anymore after all. :p
Guess you'll have to start searching for Twilight fan fiction. I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of that out there - probably multiple communities devoted to it on LJ alone, providing all the filth your little heart could desire, though, well, not necessarily well-written filth!
Oh, Lixx, it's not just you. I picked up Twikight when my dad was sick, and it was the only book in Walmart that looked good and the baby was too fussy for me to leave for Barnes and Noble..and well, I just finished the third book. And I'm dying to pick up the fourth one.
And I thought my obsession with the Harry Potter books was bad...
