surprisingly can still drive in snow, sentinel can't drive in the rain

The reason for that it so that you can bring your wheels back into line with each other faster, and have a better chance of recovering a straight path. Just be careful to avoid over-correction, as that could lead to an even worse skid.

Remember to ease your speed at the same time, as skids are caused by lack of traction. Do NOT brake, as you have nothing to grip and the sudden stop of your tires will only aggrivate the skid further. Just let natural friction do its thing.

On the other hand, skids can be helpful in combat driving, where turning out of them can send you spinning and into a better position to fire, or at least out of the intended line of fire of your opponents.

Errr, sorry... I took up stunt driving as soon as I could get my license, and I was going to be a combat ambulance driver during the Rikti War... hehe, man, I miss getting behind the wheel and letting loose.
