The info on the cellphones is neat! The Toronto Zoo also has a recycling program in place where the money goes to the zoo programs. Thought that was kind of cool too.

Sorry to read about the car being broken into though. That truly sucks. We had ours broken into 2 times in the period of one weekend about 3 years ago or so. Once in Pensivemonk's usual lot downtown and once in the parking lot at the Ottawa mall downtown. I probably lost about $300 worth of CDs plus his briefcase and in Ottawa my brother's train ticket to go home that day... I never was broken into again, just that one weekend for some odd reason.

A a general rule humanity sucks overall. There are at least some very cool individuals out there.

Recycling cell phones and batteries in the US (and Canada) lametiger July 20 2006, 13:54:18 UTC
Office Depot have a program, partnering with the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation, to accept old phones and also all kinds of rechargeable batteries. The RBRC also have a website that will give you a list of recycling places (at least for batteries) near you.

You can also rather quickly find other places by Googling "cell phone recycling" with or without other terms to narrow your search.
