Date ideas - fine motor control in the hands.

Nov 21, 2008 12:56

M got a diagnosis and a treatment all in one fell swoop, and we're going to go out on a celebratory date tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out some date activity that requires fine motor control in the hands, and I'm coming up blank.

Suggestions?

Melting Pot Fondue
Skewering meat and getting it to stay on in boiling oil is a challenge for anyone.

Yeah, but fondue is expensive and boring for someone who can't participate in a meal for that kind of time. *sigh*

This is to celebrate your new found control!
If you can work a pen enough to do cursive, you should be able to do fondue.

...Hell I can do cursive and I have mostly functional hands ;S

Her not being able to eat long, large meals is not so much about her hands, but her digestive tract. :>

Operation seems like it might be a winner.

Do an in-house Taffy pull...... Or a puzzle....

Go to an arcade and play video games? It's not really FINE motor control, but it's a thought.
