The only time the Doctor and the Master flirted was actually David Tennant and John Simm.

And yep, that's what I thought when some viewers were raging about the double standards of the Doctor only kissing the Master (or being kissed by) in female form. There seemed to be a vibe from fandom that of course it's going to be played as flirty enemies now that the Master is female, but in fact there was nothing flirtatious going on there at all compared to David Tennant and John Smith's scenes as the Doctor and Master
