I was all set to wax philosophical about Allison and her choices and realizations in this chapter (and why a part of me agrees with both Jess and Andrew) when you threw that cliffhanger at me and now all I can say is 'EEEEEEKKK!!!!'

Philosophical waxing always welcome! And I deliberately set everything up so Allison would a) be pushed off her high horse a little and b) get several different viewpoints offered up. Sometimes there is no single right answer. Which is a good thing to be reminded of when trying to work out what to do. Choosing Alex isn't 'right' or 'wrong' - it's just a choice.

I can't believe that I've got this far. The next few chapters have been in my mind for so long that I'm entirely too excited to finally get to write them!

I'm so glad you remember that it is a choice, and a huge one at that: her world or complete immersion in his.

Oh, and as soon as you said it was a Symposium in Cardiff... yeah.

If it was just a choice to be with him (say, if he was human and asked her to marry him) she'd say yes in a heartbeat. But it's not just about her feelings, and she needs to weigh up everything in order to work out what she wants. And it's hard. (This is why I'm so fond of my banner. It seems to capture the scale!)

Yup, terribly subtle. But I couldn't help it. ;)
