Maybe Someday. Chapter 9.

May 11, 2005 17:11

Turns out, that one of the things I *can* do when I'm practically asleep is edit fic, so I was sort-of busy yesterday... the result being this chapter ready to post. Also my parents are coming next week, so LJ access will be severely limited for a while. Anyway, enjoy ( Read more... )

my fic, maybe someday

You weren't kidding about the fast reading! Thank you for the quick comment though - it was a lovely surprise. :)

No problem, though I think the fast reading is still a curse. For example, I finished Dead Beat (latest Harry Dresden book) in a day. So pissed about that. It's so good, and it never lasts me more than a few hours.

Heh. I know what you mean. Which is one reason I like WIPs - they take a long time to finish. :) I presume you're reading 'Three Deep'?

So happy and so sad at the same time. I love Buffy's excited butterflies and wanting Spike to stay, but not being sure if it can work out.

And I'm starting to be afraid that Buffy is missing something big and important by skipping over Giles' messages like that...

That's pretty much it... and she'd be giving him a much harder time if he actually *could* stay.

Buffy is missing something big and important

Lovely, lovely (and Buffy finally learning to appreciate Spike before it's too late...priceless!)

Well, it's that old thing of 'You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone!'

Thanks for commenting. :)

Yes, but Buffy usually leaps right back into that old Egyptian river! Excellent story.

Hee. Thank you. :) ::blushes::

Although there is a certain sort of denial going on already... they're going to have fun, dammit, even if it kills them!

Yay, glad that you did find time to edit/write/fic catch-up what with all the drama ::hugs::
Lovely chapter - you've created a Buffy that's obviously matured, yet is still very *her*. Loved the little bit about her imagining where she would go with Spike, which moves from 'normal' things to very-Slayer/Vampire things Oh - she needed to put the blood in the fridge. Heeee!
I'm worried for Buffy that she's not listening to Giles' calls - hmmmmm, I don't think that is going to work out for the best....

::wipes brow:: It's like walking a tightrope - I'm forever worried that I'm getting her wrong!

Whatever do you mean???? ::looks wide eyed and innocent::

Delighted to end my day with some Elisabeth bedtime reading.

Your portraying of Buffy was insightful and it's good to see her taking the time to have simple things on her mind like shopping.;).. or daydreaming about Spike - his hands .. his mouth.. -
She deserves happiness.
I liked that he came to her all bruised and tired and that they fell asleep quietly , against each other. Lovely and heart warming.

Bittersweet analogy there :"It was like getting a fabulous present for Christmas and then being told that it would have to be returned".

Some badness may be coming from Giles ' s news , but now it's like the calm before the storm , so I'm happy with that.

(But I wouldn't say no to some spuffy loving!!!)

Delighted to end *my* day with some fabulous Caroline feedback! :)

She deserves happiness.
Oh, yes she does. Even if it's only for 6 days...

they fell asleep quietly , against each other
I have such a thing for S7, and I wanted to bring that quietness and level of comfort into the story.

it's like the calm before the storm
Hehehehehe!

some spuffy loving!!!
Oh, there will be loving... but probably off camera. I can't write smut to save my life!

Don't give in to her! That caroline is always after the Spuffy loving! I think, given her wonderful poetic turn of phrase she should write it herself! I'm with you on the smut writing *cringes*

Now - this was lovely! Very Buffy, finally trying her Buffy best to face up to things and finally getting a clue. Your Spike is very grown up, too. The man with a job, a mission and a business card! Although I suspect not the man with an easy life and a white picket fence with Buffy any time soon...

What a wonderful idea!!! And since my b-i-l now had a livejournal, this place will remain smut-free! ::polishes halo::

finally trying her Buffy best to face up to things and finally getting a clue.
Hee. Now *that* is a wonderful turn of phrase! I'm so glad you like her... trying to work out how she would have grown in the year that's gone isn't all that easy (as you well know!), so I'm forever worrying that I'm getting her wrong.

The man with a job, a mission and a business card!
Oh, yes... well, mostly! And at some point (once I've finished this fic) there will be a stand-alone one-off sequel where that business card will play a prominent role! And I don't even know how this story is going to end yet! ::headdesk::
