So, update on the school situation! (Please note, it's not unusual for them to have cases pop up and having certain bubbles isolating. This happens fairly regularly and the 15 y.o. has already spent several miserable quarantines doing online learning.) But this one's in another league...

Worryingly I've now heard of three people in my nearby circle who've had their full vaccinations but have been tested positive. Fortunately they all have only mild symptoms and thought they had a bad cold, but thank goodness for covid testing kits! It's not going away any time soon is it.....

Yeah, it'll be with us for... a while. /understatement

I remember reading a Twitter thread months ago about how the main problem was that viruses mutate and if we didn't stop the spread we'd keep having cycles of new variants. Thank goodness that the vaccines at least make the illness less and as you say - testing kits! Hope all the people you know will recover quickly. <3

I went back to re-watch it and realised I hadn't rec'd it! And I really ought to. And the 'warning' was very much an incentive as far as I was concerned. ;)
