Interesting reading. I thought the part about waiting for the older generation to die to get rid of some of the bias and hatefulness very true. Unfortunately intolerance and bias are often reinforced in families and it will be hard to get rid of as people are unwilling to reconsider their learned views :(

*nods* And the exhaustion in those words. :(

Gen Z to save us... The kids are alright. But they are VERY young and they shouldn't have to do EVERYTHING.

Michael Sheen is another good man - it is easy to become very self-centred over the pandemic I think.

I have chosen not to give to local charities, good though they are, as no matter how bad things might be for people here, or in the UK, it is much worse to be a refugee, so apart from having given to UNICEF I have also been giving to Embrace the Middle East and Christian Aid. But I have also found it all too easy to just delete the emails from even these charities some days.

he is just so lovely. And puts his money where his mouth is.

*nods* It's endless, and those in refugee camps have even less than people here.
