The gore is... spectacular (and that is very much the correct word, it's unlike anything else), but it's easy to see why it has such a big following. Ye gods, the imagery and the psychological complexity.

Went to Granada in March this year with my parents, it's an amazing city, especially the old town aka the Albyacín. We were able to stay in a hotel right on the edge so we could explore it by walking.
