I am going through SO MUCH tea

Snow snow snow. And repeat.

But the good news - tonight is the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club show. Dogs! I don't think I've ever agreed with a winner (and obviously I don't know what the judges know re: this dog vs. the breed standard), but that's not the point. The point is DOGS.

I too am going through tea like a crazy thing. It saves on the heating bills which are going to be exorbitant in any case but one must give these things a try, right?

I'm glad you've got something to keep your distracted from all the snow and a whack load of pretty dogs seem like as good an option as any.

Take care, keep warm, and have another cup of tea!

My heating is fortunately part of my paid rent, and there's a law in my state that it must be kept at certain minimum/maximum temperatures during certain times of day/night. So I'm actually doing pretty well, heat-wise. But tea just makes me feel warmer, so yes, ALL THE TEA.

Hopefully it works for you! There is so much wind, and the base temperature is so low to begin with, that this morning the weather app on my phone just gave up and made our little icon an igloo.

We watched last year's last night! We judged the poor poodle's haircut SO HARD.

That's what made me realize the show was coming! My tivo had grabbed it. Or at least the second night. Don't know if CNBC also replayed the first night. So yes, I spent the afternoon rewatching the sporting, working and terrier groups, and best in show. And every year I feel bad for the standard poodle. The toy one...whatever. So many of the ones in that toy group aren't real dogs, I'm sorry. Even the miniature, what the heck is the point of it? But the poor standard poodle is a real dog under that stupid haircut!

Dogs! So, here is an unpopular opinion, which is formed on the basis of this first time watching the Westminster show. The dogs look RIDICULOUS. So. Ridiculous. One of the toy dogs looked like Cousin It with a bow. I burst out laughing. Dogs should not be ridiculous and floofy! This is the equivalent of the Miss America swimsuit competition, but with dog treats. *g*

Oh thank god, the bigger dogs are coming up. WILL THEY BE FLOOFY TOO? Only the hairbrush knows. ETA: They are! THEY ARE FLOOFY! Even the ones with barely any hair. Oh, the dogmanity.

Oh, I feel for the dogs in the hours they're at the shows. I love how Frei always points out that the ones from my favorite groups (sporting, herding and working), when they're not here, are out being Dog dogs.

I guess there is a purpose for the ones that superfluffy (oy, the toy group), but I admit that I don't understand most of them. Just, anyone who is all "but my dog is PRECIOUS and must be floofy and shiny," I suspect that your dog, if left alone for a day, would revert back to being a Real Dog.

Not in a teapot, because I've been drinking so much of it that I need to change up the flavors, but yes, TEA.
