Assgn 2 - Finalised pictogram
This is the inked-up version of my pictogram.
Using Ps Line tool, I traced the original paper pc onto a new layer and viola!
A simple and clean piece is out (hopefully very understandable as well.)
In this one, I inserted the image of a card slot so as to enforce the idea that this is indeed a sign for an ATM, not to be confused with anything else ( Read more... ) -
Assgn 1 - Finalised "LOVE"
Decided to use Ps immediately to work on the design, cos using Ai to trace out the original paper piece was too $%!!#!@ ardous and I almost died doing it.
So now I used several layers, with a picture of a choc bar being the last layer to act as the background.
Pink was chosen for the name's colour, as I was trying to present a lovey-dovey feel that ( Read more... ) -
Assgn 1 - Finalised "HATE"
Remember my original design theme was: "My name is Synne and I hate boys"?
I decided it was too abstract a topic for me to present and switched themes to Fire.
So now the final product looks like this after hours of sitting at the screen:

Assgn 2 - A pictogram
For this task, we have to take a real-life scenario and put it through a series of abstration into a pictogram, be it iconic, indexical or symbolic.
Thou shall not reveal anything in words and let the pics do the talking :)

Assgn 1 - B&W sketches
so basically, we have to come up with 2 sketches for 2 main themes: love vs. hate.
we have to integrate our names with our designs as well.
