Argh, poor Jack! Sarah, she just makes me go "grrr", while Cassidy puzzles me - as does Juliet- and I love Gabriella, but I guess that's the hotness factor. I don't understand Sarah, and I don't mean that on the "how she could cheat when she's got such a husband" way. I just don't understand where she's coming from, why she acts the way she does. Lost writers, it's your fault once again.

The opposite of love is indifference.

Interesting. I'm used to the whole hatred being the opposite of love thing, but I can see your point. It's more of a triangle, isn't it? From love to hatred to indiference and then you love someone again, or fall back to hatred, or never care about anyone anymore.

Hee, I've worked as a roofer during the summers for years, my dad runs a roofing company. He's a cop too...roofs during the day, cop at night...sleeps for a millisecond. I wonder where I get it from... Anyway, point is, it's a world I know really well so I have to wonder why I haven't written this before!

The opposite of love is indifference is a saying that I've heard often, perhaps it's just a U.S. thing. I guess it's just that to hate someone, you still have to feel something very strongly about them. Indifference, truly not giving a shit, seems more the direct opposite of loving someone.

Sarah's a whore. That's where she's coming from. lol. but no, seriously, I think she resents Jack for not being what she wanted him to be and if she doesn't blame him for what happened, she'll have to blame herself, and she's too weak to admit she's the one at fault. She'd rather put it all on him. Like I said. Whore. Or wench. Take your pick. ;)

damn her and such.
I watched his flashback scenes while working on a vid last night-and OMG the scene from the lawyer's office when she takes the phone call infront of him bothers me so much i want to scream. Then of course i evetually got to this last scene where she basically stabs him in the heart-does she forget she'd be a corpse/paralyzed if it wasn't for him? I love this line-
He had used up all his chances before he even knew he needed them.
Such a strong & true statement "Laur,"..deeper than this fic too cause i can relate it to a lot of my relationships. Their whole marrige was a mistake because when she stopped being his main cause-focus-fix, she couldn't handle it. DUDE. I'd stay with him for the maroon shirt alone.
You rock Laur-Lost only gives us a taste, the surfice of his story, and you make all those scenes meaningful and complete-thank you for that. ♥ Love you like I love the 2004 Red Sox team

Oh God... It was so sad. So many emotions hidden in one short fic and as usual you've managed to write it as perfectly as possible. And you've touched the burning subject of Sarah again, so respect to you!:)
It's such a sad vision to see Jack pulling his finger off, signing the divorce papers and then drowning into indifference... Indifference. For someone who is sick of caring, it sounds appealing. This is my favourite quote. Thank you for such a wonderful fic! ♥

I can't seem to leave Sarah alone, can I? I hate her guts yet I write about her...figure that one out. I'm thrilled you liked this one and found it sad. I think this has to be one of the lowest points of Jack's whole life. :( Thanks for saying that I handled it well! And thanks for picking out a line you liked, I think that's so cool of you. *hugs*

In the meantime, I think the fic is great, you have such a wonderful insight into Jack's character that I really envy you... and kinda hate Sarah right now :)

Construction fic is going to turn into another series. I can just feel it. I know I won't be able to write just one part. I'm hopeless!
