Argh!

I loved this. I love the way you manage to keep Christian in character and at the same time show that, in his own twisted way, he cares about Jack and sometimes - again, in his own twisted way- will try to be a good father to Jack.

I'd complain about people talking in circles and never caling things by their name, but this *is* Lost, these are our characters. We don't do straightforward.

Sorry, couldn't resist using this icon in this context.

Best icon choice ever!

Thank you for such wonderful feedback! I really think Christian cared for Jack deeply. But he didn't know how to show his love for him, and showed it in the wrong ways. He wanted Jack to live up to his potential and thought being hard on him would work, and also seemed incapable of really expressing love for no other reason than love. I always loved the conversation between them at the poolside b/c it showed that he and Jack did have nice father/son moments and they did relate to one another. They had to have had many more close moments like this, I think, for Jack to love him and want his respect as much as Jack did.

*loves you*

Oh my, this is so beautiful and real it's untrue. I totally think this is exactly how Christian felt; you had him nailed.
and for the first time in his life Christian hopes to god that he’s wrong.
Okay so this is just perfect. It made my heart sink and opened up a whole new perspective on his talk with Sawyer. I think this is really good and I love how you're making me discover and feel for the characters more than the writers do. Go, work on LOST, now!
And sorry, darling, that I haven't commented on your posts in a while! I've just read them all and think they are so fantastic. You're too good, babe. Every word you write means something and fits.

Thank you so so much for the kind compliments! I love writing Christian so that you thought I had him nailed is fantastic to read.

Me = big grinning doofus. Thank you!!! I wish I could work on LOST! :)

Don't apologize for not fb-ing everyday! I can't imagine how anyone keeps up with this craziness. I'm glad you're getting to read them though and that you're liking them! That means a lot. *hugs*

OHH how i wish Christian chose this one particular time to run Jack's life. Love how you made Christian more intune with Jack, and even care..which we see on the show, but at the sametime it is overshadowed by the crap. Very nice Laur ♥

I always felt that Jack misinterpreted Christian's advice and Christian should have been more stalwart in getting his opinion across, but I think for once, he really thought Jack needed to make that decision on his own. Jack just chose wrong. Poor Jack. :( I'm glad you liked this, babe! :)

p.s. i posted jacket porn today! ;)

see, that's why you are such a good writer... to think and see that moment from Christian POV, and show that he does indeed care because there is no filter, not just the images and actions but now we see his thoughts. I do think he does care. And I do think he never wants to be wrong too, so him.

by the way, several millions thought he would not do it too! lol!

I really thought Jack was going to back out in that moment and I wish he did! It would have been awful for him then but in the long run, SO much better...! I'm thrilled you liked this from Christian's POV. I've always wanted to write it b/c I don't think Christian meant for Jack to take his advice as that he should marry Sarah, but that he shouldn't have. And looking at him in the audience at the wedding, I think he wants to believe that Jack made the decision that was right for him, but deep down he knows that it's wrong.

Thanks for such lovely fb! *loves you*
