Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. It wasn't exactly a happy, fluffy handholding fic so I was worried it wouldn't fit the bill, but I'm relieved you liked my wayward interpretation of the prompt. :) It does make me sad that Kate and Jack have never had any simple exchanges of romance between them like just holding hands or kissing one another on the cheek or any of those small things that are so sweet. :(

Thanks for reading and for your feedback! *hugs*

Damn you! That's all.

I vowed never to rewatch that episode (because... crap much?) but this made me want to watch the Jack Show parts of it because there was a lot packed into those scenes, only to remind me the same people who wrote the rest of the crapola were capable of so much more.

I really like your ficlets. How does one go about requesting Jack ficlets from you in that community? :D

lol, "crap much?" indeed. Kate's backstory in that episode, and the skate sexing, and omg...blech. But that scene with Jack and Kate always got to me, but strangely, it was always more of in a poor jack way than a poor kate way, even though this is more about Kate. I'm weird like that, getting sympathy for her at the oddest times.

Are you signed up for a Queenly day at the Luau? Because right now I'm writing per Queen's prompts. I will try to answer some prompts with jack ficlets, for you. :) *hugs*

thank you for reading, darling! I'm glad you liked it, even if it did lead to you damning me. ;)

Kate had her chances and never took them, in a way that glass is a metaphor for their relationship, there was always something blocking them.

Wow. It's hard for me to watch this scene because it's so poignant and painful, and you nailed it here. I always loved how she instinctivly reached for his hand only to bump into glass.

That makes their grasping hands in the pool room scene so much more, because it was to be the last time.

More separates them now than glass. The story of Season 3.

The story of Season 3 indeed. I wish they'd get their shit together and simply GET TOGETHER already!

The scene is very poignant and painful and it means a lot to me that you thought I captured that in this piece! Thanks so much for reading and for your comments. *hugs*
