We delivered the cat to the vet earlier. They said we could pick her up between 4 and 6pm. So we won't know what is wrong with her until then.

We took the cat to the vet today for her yearly vaccination and the vet reckons she might have kidney problems as she doesn't clean her fur at the lower end of her back. I've noticed this for a while, but just thought she was too lazy to clean herself... When the vet started poking around there our cat got really pissy and started hissing etc... as ( Read more... )

Christmas was pleasant. This year our cat didn't even try to eat baby Jesus! That is something I must say, she was asleep the whole time, even the unwrapping of presents (usually she likes to play with boxes and paper and especially the ribbons and bows... she likes to chew those!) didn't get her going. Mauled again by the cat... I am starting to sympathise with Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes! Right by the fingernail too... If this means another of my nails is going to grow funny, I am not going to be happy. Well, our cat decided to come home after 12 hours. I'd not have worried if she was an ordinary cat, but she is a special breed (chartreux) and the women who breeds them says they are indoor cats and you're not meant to let them go outside unless you are outside too to watch her (and who is going to follow their cat around outdoors all the time?). My parent's cat seems to have disappeared! It usually never goes away for longer than an hour or so, and we've not seen her since about 4pm. Also, she never leaves the garden much, so we're a bit worried that something's happened to her. :( Hope that she comes back soon... We've looked everywhere, but no luck.
