So, I woke up (after about 6 hours of sleep) with my head swimming as I tried to look around the room. The lovely radiators had been on all night regardless of the recent "warm" weather (45 degrees outside!), so it was over 80 degrees inside, and I'd been sleeping in a sweatshirt and fleece pants. My forehead was vaguely clammy and my temperature ( Read more... )

Sounds like we both had really shitty nights. Feel better soon! Drink water! If I overheat when I'm sleeping, I end up feeling really groggy and nauseous, so it might be that.

Hmmm... That and/or dehydration seems to be the culprit. Ironic to get that in the winter, huh? Well, maybe in San Diego you can't fully appreciate that. ;)

I don't have any good ideas about what it could be, but I hope you feel better nonetheless!

Hah! Right before I left for college, my mom told me about the "touch your chin to your chest" thing for meningitis. To this day, I always do that when I have a headache.

I have no ideas about what might be up, but I do know that the body is a complex organism and is prone to disruptions and misfires, sometimes from the slightest reasons. If it's just this one day, I wouldn't worry about it, but if you're still feeling bad tomorrow, you should definitely see a doctor. Getting medical advice from friends carries its own element of risk, which increases with the seriousness of whatever it is a person is suffering from.

I hope you're just going through a little bio-bump and feel well soon!

Definitely true! If this goes on, I'll definitely consult a doctor.

Thanks, and I'll see if I can work the word "bio-bump" into my daily vocabulary.

ah.. hope things are back to where it is now.
I'm not a doctor but here is my guess.
You certainly drink a lot but several things that you drink aren't necessary isotonic to the body. It can dehydrate your body just like drinking beer will definitely do that. :)
Heat can definitely make people feel dizzy as well. 80 is actually quite warm. :)

Maybe next time you can try to turn down the heat a little bit before going to bed. :)

Feel better *hugs*

Thanks! That explanation sounds about right, and I'm feeling a bit better now.

I'm drinking water before bed, and I'm going to turn the air conditioner on (since I don't have control over the heat).
