Ah, Dusk peterson! I adore his work and know he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. You are spot on about romance, especially romance which blossoms in unexpected places.

I also note that you have The Eternal Dungeon on your reading list. *squees quietly* This is my favourite of his works so far and one I do re-read because I love the characters.

ps Keep in mind that picture you sent me of a certain photographer, in my mind he would fit one of the main characters.

pps Can I say how much I dislike the cover of Mark's Not Gay. The blond chap is nice but what's with the chap at the back? Where is his neck?

Siren Publishing have some interesting stories, but most of the time the covers are horrible :-( And I will keep in mind the photo and the photographer while reading the Eternal Dungeon

Thank you for your kind review! I'm especially pleased that you enjoyed the historical note - that's not a part of my historical fantasy novels that people usually comment on, though it often takes me as much work to prepare as a fiction chapter.

Sometime I found the historical note as much interesting as the story itself, and your were very interesting and detailed.

I love Dusk Peterson! Eternal Dungeon is definitely my favorite series, but I've read some of the Waterman. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I can never put Dusk's books down, so I have to wait until life is a little less hectic to read the Waterman Omnibus because I know I'll get nothing done while I'm reading it. I joke that Dusk is strictly vacation reading :).

"Dusk Peterson manages also to give you the romance, and odd as it sounds, most of the time his romances are among the most romantic I have ever read."

I agree, the romance is there and it's incredibly deep and profound. Dusk is so good at writing about the human psyche and that makes for very compelling love stories.

Compelling is the right term, his romance is subtle but strong, and it goes deep.
