Excellent analysis and OMG so much love for flirty!Jack. I'm not sure I'm willing to give Owen (who I really do love) credit for faked cluelessness. I think he's really clueless, which is depressing as hell.
Agreed with absolutely everything in your post, found you from jack_and_gwen. Can I friend you? I've probably watched Meat about 8 times now *ahem*specifically certain ;) scenes and I need another person to gush about it with since I'm still in a fangirly mood about it =D
Followed you from your comment in jack_and_gwen as well. ;) I know what you mean about finding a "safe" place to talk Jack/Gwen because, dang, you'd think we advocate kitten abuse or something the way a lot of the fandom reacts. o_O Or maybe that's just been my experience, lol! ;)
Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your review both here and at the comm! And I, too, kinda needed a place to gush, lol! ;) I have about 5 people on my flist who even watch Torchwood and most of them are still back in s1 and the rest loathe Gwen. O_O So I did a silly picspam review that was trying to kinda awkwardly straddle the line of not saying anything too terribly spoilery for the s1 people and at the same time knowing I was getting *eyerolls* from the Gwen-despisers. So that kinda cut down on my ability to *squee* terribly much, you know? ;)
I could spend an entire paragraph writing about the flirting scene between Jack and Rhys' secretary Ruth, but I'd rather just go back and watch it again. This is exactly what I want to see from Jack every
