Elina-mou I TOTALLY understand. Now that I have an actual professional career, the party life is just not a good fit anymore. It has nothing to do w/ not being cool or turning corporate (although that's not the case w/ you) or avoiding people. It has to do w/ being a responsible young adult. When we were younger, it seemed like such a sellout thing to do: grow up, get a real job, stop going to clubs/bars, fall asleep before Conan (even though you tried so hard to stay up for it!). But it's not being a sellout. We are the same progressive minded, artful, radical thinkers we ever were. It's just that this time we get to display it in a different arena, which just happens to occur at the opposite time from the old events we used to frequent. And as far as what other people's speculations are, I think we both already know that what other people think is completely inconsequential. Let them think whatever they want. It's themselves that they are unhappy with, not you, if they are spending that much time thinking about somebody ( ... )
