Seems like when the potential pandemic is talked about, people are reminded of this game (fuck, fuck Madagascar and their fucking closed ports, just lost again) and I've been reminded of this game instead. Which is the EXACT OPPOSITE THEME. But now I want to play it and I don't know if we have time for both Pandemic AND BSG this Thursday. Because ( Read more... )

Ooooh, what's the BSG game like? I saw info about it floating around on the nets, and it seemed kinda interesting, but with the price and shipping... I dunno.

I really really enjoy it. I like the aspect of playing your opponents instead of playing the game - trying to figure out who the fucking Cylon is is kind of hard and always fun. Cylons won last night, and that's cool because I sure wasn't human.

It's a long-ass game, the rules explanation takes about 30-45 minutes (more if Jon is explaining to me and Kory, because we are assholes who derail rules explanations) and then the game itself can take 2-4 hours depending on how many people are playing - last night was 6 people, the max, game started around 7 and we finished around 11. With all people who've played before and a smaller group (4 or 5) it goes faster, hence the 2 hour quote.
