I hope you're having a great weekend so far and sincerely hope you are somewhere high up or well drained, preferably both.

One of the nicest things about the weekend, especially a cold and rainy weekend, is curling up with a book so here is one of my Saturday Recommendations.

Why do the menfolk decide that a cold, wet and generally unpleasant weekend is the time to do things outside? Brat has half-dismantled his car. Himself is supposed to be assisting in the car things that aren't going according to plan, but found that he just had to unpack a garden shed to look for something and then really needed to dig up a bramble.

And why do either of them need me to stand around getting wet and handing them things or just witnessing their efforts?

Sigh. At least I've had the pneumonia vaccine, even if I didn't really want to check its efficacy.
