Interesting! I was a little surprised; it didn't sound like something Elijah might necessarily take on... and then I saw that Randall is directing it. It sounds like a very personal, very physical role that will require a lot of vulnerability -- all things that Elijah's good at, but also things that would really require a relationship of trust between actor and director.

For some reason this project makes me feel a bit nervous for Elijah. I'm sure it will be a great role, though, and one he wouldn't have signed on for if he wasn't prepared for it.

Thanks for the info!

EDIT: Just went back and read more carefully and realized it's a comedy. I saw a different article before this, and it didn't mention at all that it's a comedy. That makes me feel better. We already have a clear sense of how well Randall and Elijah work together on comedy. Good news. :)

You know what, I honestly couldn't articulate it if I tried. Just a gut instinct. But now that I see it's a comedy, I'm not nervous for him at all.

Agreed. My first thought was "He's challenging himself again".
I just found Ken Baker's website (see link in my Edit) and I really liked how he describes his interaction with Elijah & Randall. This could turn out to be a great film, in the 'Wilfred' vein: sensitive as well as funny.

This is such brilliant news. I like the sound of this film, I think it could be a wonderful role for Elijah. What with this, and 'Grand Piano' and his cameo in 'The Hobbit', we have so much to look forward to. Oh, and there's 'Maniac' of course but I have mixed feelings about that:)

Many thanks.
It sounds very well. He's very busy,I think this is his 50th movie (with Black Wings Has My Angel and The Hobbit 3).
