Elijah will be a judge for NZ film festival

Jun 17, 2012 19:31

Elijah's one of several American film experts who will do a bit of judging in the finals of New Zealand's V48 Hours film competition, in which filmmakers have only 48 hours to make a film short, from creation to execution. Apparently Peter Jackson is a real driving force behind this annual contest. No word about whether Elijah's planning to ( Read more... )

Let's see: now - Baton Rouge, LA; 21st and 22nd - Northern Ireland; 25th - Los Angeles, CA; 30th - Wellington; July 12th - San Diego, CA.
Yeah, that's doable! Besides, he does his best sleeping on planes.....

I don't think he's going to go to Wellington for the judging. Scott Weinberg is also going to be one of the judges, and he's not. Of course, Elijah might decide to go just because he wants to, though.

Oh, and he's left Louisiana now, though I don't know if he went back to L.A. So we have to add something to the itinerary!

I'm so pleased to see that he is getting recognized as the film expert he really is. Guest teacher at Ringling, judging shorts (Tropfest Sidney and now this) and probably more I don't know about.
He may be back in LA by now. Several tv reviewers said on twitter that there is a conference call about Wilfred on Monday 18th.

You really couldn't have anyone more capable of assessing the work of up-and-coming filmmmakers ( ... )

According to his tweets, Elijah flew from Newark and is in Belfast now. Our little jet setter... Wonder if he's going to look up Dom's cousins to say hello??

Okay, I really can't convey to you the jealous envy I am experiencing. I live 35 minutes from Newark airport. I used to live in Portrush (where the Bushmills distillery is; I lived a block from it).

WHY COULDN'T I HAVE BEEN ON THAT FLIGHT?

I am actually crying about it, I am so gutted not to be there for this music festival. It's like the world has slipped off its axis a little bit.
