Wheeee! I am currently downloading your mix. (I probably won't remain conscious long enough to tell you what I think of it tonight. I will get back to you on it.) Thank you!
I'm sorry to hear about the Thyroid problem. I swear, every woman I know, on-line or off, has been having Thyroid issues. (I'm starting to wonder if my own Thyroid hasn't contributed to my recent bout of sleeplessness.)
Bwahaha! @ your 'recent conundrum.' I'm waiting for my 'refurbished' 1GB ipod to arrive from Apple. :-P I'm so cheap sometimes.
And, I'm SO behind on PotC fandom (I haven't read any of the J/W stuff that I love, here lately). I was hoping to have at least one more fic under my belt before the TP meet-up in October, but I'm starting to think I may show up dazed, in my bunny slippers and bathrobe - I'm in such a funk right now.
*sinks back into lurkdom for the night*
(And look! I found another Janto-kissing icon. :D)
Yay! Hope you enjoy it. I've been singing 'Monster' all day.
Stupid Thyroid, drives me nuts, it's a hormonal roller-coaster of 'fun'. It might be something to look into if you have symptoms, like you say it's practically epidemic, apparently its something in the water.
You know I was looking at maybe getting an 80G iPod next year, then 'place of employment' got in the 160s with a staff price same as the 80's else where, I just couldn't turn it down or so I told myself. Every CD I own (500+), a pile of bootlegs, fanmixes and podfic, a copy of CotBP and a Torchwood audio book and I've still only used about 24G. My computer is packed and I might be slightly obsessed. Best. Purchase. Ever. Now I just need a ripper to get some of my DVD boxsets on there as well.
I know what you mean on the PotC front, I've only read about three of the swagfest fic (two of which were Ver's that I still haven't gotten off my lazy ass and commented on yet). But I'm eyeballing the rest of them (or some anyway) and ainsoph15's 'hedgehog' fic for the weekend (

It seems someone mentioned - on the commentary track - listening to the song "Monster" when writing the Countrycide episode. And, yeah, it fits. :P
That's Moby? Wouldn't have been my guess either (and I can't say that I don't usually like his stuff, I'm really just not familiar with his music at all).
For some reason I associated the song played over Suzie's dead body with the song she and Gwen were listening to on their long drive. But, hearing it now, I'm sure they weren't the same. (And you just put the Janto stamp on it, associating it with the stopwatch scene. I don't think I'll bother to check. ;-))
I love, love, love Gorillaz! So I love that song, but I remember being annoyed hearing it over Owen and Martha. (I guess because I love the original video for the song. I don't really want Owen to 'record over' that, in my mind. :P)
I don't know jack about QAF (British or US), but I loved 'I Feel Good Things for You.' I guess I'm just a Disco Queen at heart. *is
