Who: Taiwan, Hungary and random people who want to pop in and see them
Where: Their dorm room, Room 105

Elisabeta had changed out of her school uniform and into something more comfortable and casual, pleased that she no longer had to endure going about in the skirt that let in all sorts of awkward draft. She considered unpacking, but decided it would ( Read more... )

YingXiu stared at the dorm door.
Room 105.
She looked back down at the slip of paper she had been given. She was sure that a dorm room would look more interesting, as it was where the students were going to live for the next few months. Sighing, she knocked on the door, and fiddled with her sweatshirt.

She turned and opened the door, almost absentmindedly.

"Oh," she said awkwardly. "Hi. I guess you're my roommate?"

YingXiu gulped, studying this female. She was anxious to make new friends but this girl radiated maturity, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to handle that. She was pretty, much prettier than those girls YingXiu was used to, when she read those teenage taiwanese magazines. She took a deep breath.

"Hello," YingXiu smiled, radiating an air of friendliness. "I am, if you're Elizabeta."

She was creeped out for a moment by the fact the girl knew her name, but then she remembered these details had been printed on the instructions they had been given after orientation.

"Well, come in, then...um..."

She struggled to remember a name.

"Tsai YingXiu," she stated, pronouncing her name clearly (Ying Xee-yu), because past experiences told her that foreigners find her name hard to say. She was also a bit let down that Elizabeta didn't bother to remember her name.

"And thanks," she added, walking into the dorm. She surveyed the small, yet cosy room, seeing the bed next to the window still empty, plonked onto it, bouncing comfortably on the springy mattress.

"It's nice here huh?" YingXiu muttered softly, peeking out the window. "If only the campus wasn't so confusing."

"Ah, you're Chinese?" she asked. Ying Xiu was her given name, then.

"Yeah, I thought the same. I was going to go look around it with another guy I met during orientation. That way, at least I won't get lost alone."

She clenched her fists at the word, "chinese."

"No, I am Taiwanese," she muttered, her tone low and dangerous. But then after a few seconds, YingXiu perked up.
"You said...A guy?" She asked, leaning forwards, eager. "Is he cute?" She smiled and leaned backwards, resting her back on the cold windowpane.
"Wow, you must be really popular with the guys then," she added, winking.

It seemed she had forgotten the chinese comment.
For now.

The atmosphere in the room turned dangerous for a moment, so Elisabeta backed away a step, very carefully, taking care to do so casually, as if nothing was wrong.

"Yeah, a guy, but it wasn't anything like that!" It wasn't. Really. She wasn't blushing either. Nope. "And I'm not! I just- We just talked."

A beat.

"And I'm not popular with guys at all, really. In my old school, they all thought I was a brute."

She stopped herself before she went on a wild rant about her unluckiness in that particular area of teenage life.

YingXiu studied Elizabeta for a moment. She could almost tell that Elizabeta was not popular in her old school. She had not only an air of maturity, but also one of manliness. YingXiu however, was very bright, able to catch the beat in her stream of cool words.
She smiled at Elizabeta, and stood up, walking towards her and tugging on her clothes.

"You, my dear roommate, need a new wardrobe,"

Thank you <3 WTH, 'air of manliness'? XD eli_rubickscube July 2 2009, 12:21:43 UTC
The younger girl had a scheming look on her face. Elisabeta knew the look well, mostly because she was the one who usually wore it, just before she dealt with Sadiq or that Gil-what's-his-name or any other idiots.

"...Eh?"

Things looked to be getting interesting.

Gilbert knew that the boys weren't allowed in the girl's dorms. It was a strict rule, but he didn't quite care for the rules, ever. He recalled the girl he met during orientation, Elizaveth, her name was? After some snooping, he found out which room in the girl's dorm she was in, and, with his magnificent ability of theft, unlocked the building's door, and wandered about until he could find the door.

Room 105.

It was about a week into school when he dropped by, not having had much communication with her, excluding having seen her in class and around the school and other such things. Striding up to the door, after school and after any club related activities, he knocked, having had been out of his uniform for a while now. He was sure that she didn't want to see him, but hell if he cared, he was bored and wasn't in a writing mood, it was Friday, and he didn't feel like doing his homework yet.

Hearing a knock at the door, Elisabeta stopped scribbling on the paper with her pen and got up, a little groggy from sitting down so long.

She opened the door, presuming it to be YingXiu, mostly because the girl seemed kind of spacy and she wouldn't put it past her to forget the keys.

When she saw who it was on the other side, though, she immediately regretted her decision.

"You," she said calmly. "In the girl's dorms. Did it drop off or something?"

He clapped slowly. "Ah, nein. You wouldn't be the first person I'd run to if that happened." Putting his hands behind his head, casually, he pushed past her. "How're you, 'Liz? Haven't seen you--er, well, I have. But I haven't spoken to you since Orientation," He smelt somewhat of alcohol. "So I came to see you~ Kesese~"

"I don't really want to know how you found me, do I?"

She sighed and smelt the alcohol off of his breath. "You're a very spontaneous guy, I'm sure."
