I really like World War Z (although not that they're turning it into a movie with Brad Pitt). It's a collection of stories and interviews 'collected' by Max Books (Mel Brooks is his father) about the zombie apocalypse. It's excellent and really creepy.

I read the Reader's Digest Condensed Version the summer after seventh grade, because that's what my grandmother had on her bookshelf.

I'm amused that there's a Reader's Digest Condensed Version of a book that started off as a short story! :)

And yeah, the anti-recs were a good idea too.
