I seriously oversalted the potatoes before I mashed them. Suppose on some cosmic level, it makes up for all the times I forgot to salt them, but still.

I vaguely remember hearing that you an add sugar or something and it'll balance it out

I have some leftovers that I might use if I can get my act together to make a shepherd's pie before the end of the week. I'm thinking that adding a few more potatoes into the mix would help.
