Two rejections in one ticket...

I can't believe I got two rejections on one ticket! *wah* One of them was caused by quite a bit of stupidity on my part... I really can't believe I didn't rememebr the rules properly... I wanted to post a painting I did for a friend. It's a handsome asian elf samurai type guy, with a bow, and a phoenix in the background. There is also this ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about your rejections, but a big thumbs up on handling yourself so well in the face thereof; even when they're your fault or just minor technicalities, it's hard not to take personally. Good luck getting your ticket through again quickly and without such problems!

yeah, sorry about that with the pern stuffs... it's a shame Anne McCaffrey's so picky, o.O

Yeah, agreed. But at least she's allowing fanstuff postings at all now :}.

Anyway, I know how you feel about the 'stupid mistake' part. I did that with a picture that had some photos I had nabbed from a public site...and then I lost the site URL and completely forgot to mention that they /were/ public domain...alas.

And...um...I'm sure a quick Google search for the registered/copyright/trademark symbols will yield plenty of sites for ya :D.

yeah... i think there's some sort of code for html to make the (R) thingy. the mod mentioned something but it made no sense to me whatsoever (not the mod's fault!... I'm just bad with computers). i'll figure it out...

still... i will be forever a wee bit peeved about his because i know it was accepted the first time around. can't complain though... i'd been waiting years for Anne McCaffrey art to be allowed!

If you're on a PC, try Alt+0174 to get the ®

I'm not sure what the html code for it is, though.

To interject, the html code is & r e g; (without the spaces).

Is it not enough to say: 'Pern and all it's characters are copyrighted property of Anne MC Gaffrey'?
Just wondering.

nope, it's in the rules that they need the Pern trademark, complete with the little (r) symbol that's a pain to produce, o.O

I'm so happy I was never interested in doing Pern fanart, and never going to.

I've never even read any McCaffrey. Am I missing anything?

Even though it's already been said, you need to use the ® thingy to make the R sign, I suspect it may not show up properly if you just copy-paste it from somewhere. (It's a HTML "entity" and will render as the proper R sign on the page.)

Actually, from my experience, if you copy it from the character map on your computer, it shows up...However, it may just be the sites that I use it on (considering I've only used it, what, twice? xD)
