So far I have 6 out of 9 as Hermione, which is pretty much the theory I was testing when I set up the poll.

It is perhaps more interesting that none of these people are Gryffindor!Hermione - indeed nobody is in a matching house (except perhaps the Allosaurus ) since I know I picked Hufflepuff!Hermione.

This is assuming that Tonks ( I meant Nymphadora although I put her mother's name *pesky subconcious* ) was in Gryffindor, which seems plausible to me.

yeah, i can't imagine tonks as anything but a gryffindor

and the more i think about it, i'm not at all surprised that there aren't any gryffindor!hermiones...i mean, canon!hermione had to be in gryffindor, obviously, for the story's sake, but if she were just any random student she would probably be in ravenclaw

i was pleasantly surprised by my own poll: currently there are 6 ravenclaws, 3 slytherins, 2 gryffindors, & a hufflepuff (you i assume) - hehe...not a bad balance

I think one of the interesting things about canon!Hermione is that she -is- in Gryffindor, despite being an obvious Ravenclaw = this sort of implies that she must be truly brave at heart, or that the Sorting Hat is pretty devious.

In a similar way, it is made clear that Harry could have been in Slytherin, and IMHO Neville misses Hufflepuff by a whisker.

And yes, it was me - your assumption is correct.

I've picked three Gryffindors to identify with, and put myself in Hufflepuff. How's that for confused?

Well, I didn't give you any Hufflepuff choices, due to both lack of brain and the fact that the poll only lets me have so many options, so I think your answers are perfectly reasonable. I think Neville was jolly nearly in Hufflepuff, IMHO.

At least you didn't identify with Dobby - that I would have been concerned about ;-)
