Will I still be on lj in 2025? I'll be 48. Hello 48! Where do you sleep and what do you dream?

I don't know how to sticky this, but I feel compelled to formally announce my friends-only-ness. I pretty much don't feel comfortable even posting that which is benign and banal in public anymore, so... yeah.

You have to scroll pretty far back to find a not locked entry anyway, but I wanted to go ahead and make it official.

The easiest way to "sticky" an LJ entry is to give it a date in the distant future, like, 2025 or 2090 or something.

Of course, if you're all friendslocked up after that entry, it will naturally appear at the top to anybody not your friend.

*pokes* You realize this means we'll have to be even more determined to have random lunches on Thursdays. :)

Tho' having just re-read the message, I actually read the message and realized you meant you weren't posting publicly, not that you weren't posting. 'Cause I'm easily distracted and don't pay attention to things. Anyway, the comment about Thursday still stands, 'cause lunch with you is fun. :P :)

I will be all about some lunch next week if you're free. I actually took Thursday and Friday off this week, but I'm guarding my 'me' time closely to combat the insanity of tech week for TBGS (followed by gaming on Sunday) (followed by Kim's birthday dinner thing on Monday) (This must be what you feel like all the time with your crazy scheduling)

*nods frantically in response to the 'guard 'me' time' thing.* Word.

re: lunch next week - 'twould be awesome - I shall pencil it in, for later confirmation that neither of our heads explode between then and now. :)

re: Kiba-chan's birthday...I can find no reference to such a thing on my calendar, other than a label that says 'kiba's birthday' which doesn't give many details. Are there details? I bet there are details. (note: if, rather than being absent minded, I am in fact, not invited, I shall stick my tongue out at you all and go hang with my girlfriend instead. *grins*)

Yeah! Usually I like to know the people on my flist, at least as freinds of friends, but with SRK looking at me like that, how can I refuse? Also, you love Pippi!

This is in response to your post today on debunking_white; I am not a member so didn't comment there. (Because I was stupid and didn't spot the proper application procedure until *after* I applied - so I didn't include the information they wanted and was quite properly rejected.)

You may find shweta_narayan's list of YA fantasy books about characters of color useful. There's also a followup post with some related books and links.
