Daaaaaah. Classes finished yesterday. No finals until Tuesday. 'course, I have a 10page paper to write in English and a 3-6page one in Japanese to start...Meh Spent all day in bed watching Torchwood. Watched most of season 1 in one go. Want to watch all of season 2. Right now. At 1.30 in the morning. Maaaaaaahhhh!!

I didn't really like the fairies episode too much. Death by flowers I was all for. Their basic myth, not so much.

I never thought of it that way. XD He died of overeating. Hahahahaha!!! It's still cool, but that cracks me up a lot.

Don't worry! Ianto gets snarky and *mumble season 2 spoilery interpretation of mine* which isn't so cool, but the other part where he *more mumblery spoilers* makes me go hee! I'm evil, aren't I? :P

So, so addicting. I don't know how you'd be able to write a paper on this. I'd get too distracted watching the episodes over and over for "research" purposes I'd never be able to write anything...

Hmm, maybe it's because when I was in elementary school I was really into fairies and I'd heard something about chosen ones and stuff before.

Funny, the fairies episode annoyed me. I guess it bothered me that they were completely impossible to beat. I firmly believe that everything has to have SOME weak point. Oh well- the bit with Jack in the train with his soldiers nearly made up for that. :P

I wanted them to shove Jack into the morgue box thingy and then have him wake up and have to bang on the door until they noticed and let him out. XD Oh well.

Ianto gets soooo much cooler. (also, hot waistcoats and suits! *swoooon*) Now I have to ask Tall One what her spoilery season 2 theories are...

Owen is cool, even though he's a moron. Sadly, he gets totally shafted in season 2. ARGH. I have to go find mr Russel T Davies and whack him with a script or something. Gwen gets better in season 2. I like Tosh too, I wish people would stop mangling her name. o_O

re:hand. The "awhoooga" noise is the TARDIS disappearing. :D

Huh. It did kinda bother me that the fairies were very "don't mess with us or what we want and we won't kill you too horribly" instead of "you don't mess with us and we don't mess with you, and we can live together", but I'm leaning more toward a faux shinto thing. They're part of nature, and nature is power. We can try to bend it to our will, but it'll only come back to bite us in the bum. Or something.

Jack in the morgue box, hahaha!! Yes, I was waiting for that too! That would have been funny.

Tosh amuses me. When she's speaking on the phone in Japanese or to her mom, her accent is 100% Japanese, but when she's speaking with Jack and them she mispronounces her own name... I suppose it's so people don't get confused when she says one thing and everyone else can't, but still. Amuses me.

Graaaaahh! You and Tall One, both evil! Now I want to blow off doing my papers and just watch Torchwood. Sensei did tell me to take a break from doing school things *innocent face

hmm. The shinto thingy makes more sense. I was trying to fit them into european fairy traditions and getting annoyed, because you can always get around the european fairies if you try hard enough. Case in point: Tam Lynn

that's cool about Toshiko's accent. :)

I still haven't finished season two. I'm a little over half way through. I got annoyed at the last few episodes, so I'm ignoring. I think the next one I have to watch is going to be cracktastic, though. o_O

Ideally for the Shinto thing you should be able to exist together realitively peacefully, and you pray to the nature gods expecting results in your favor. It's actually kinda like a business arrangement... gyah, I'm just breaking down my own argument. Moving on! XD

Cracktastic is good. As soon as I finish this 10 page paper I'm zoning out with Keroro Gunsou. Alien frogs doing laundry!
